Overview

This active adventure allows you to experience the landscape penned in Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. You journey through central Indian highlands, coming face to face with untouched tribal cultures, viewing wildlife and biking in the jungle. Explore national parks with varied wildlife, landscapes, and tribal communities on foot, by cycles, canoe and 4WD vehicles. Sleep in a luxurious tree house and a night in African style luxury camp set up especially for you inside the National Park. The company of expert naturalists and guides will make your Jungle Book experience a fascinating and memorable one.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at the Delhi International Airport, you are met and assisted by one of our representatives and transferred to the hotel.

After breakfast, begin your tour of the capital today highlighting the remarkable contrast between Old and New Delhi. Take a cycle-rickshaw ride through the busy lanes of the colourful Chandni Chowk Market followed by a visit to the Jama Masjid. In the afternoon, visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Gandhi Museum, and drive past the President’s house.

This morning, transfer to the airport to board your flight for Nagpur. Arrive at Nagpur airport and drive to Pench. On arrival in Pench, check into your lodge. 

After lunch select your cycles and explore the countryside surrounding the national park. You get to meet and interact with the local tribal people and visit their homes.

Evening, pick fresh vegetables from the lodge’s organic garden and learn how to cook them in outdoor village style kitchen with the locals. Later enjoy this meal as your welcome dinner at the lodge.

After an early breakfast we drive (30 minutes) to Rukhad Wildlife Sanctuary and have the privilege to explore the sanctuary and its surrounding forest by cycles. We will be accompanied by a local park guide. Lunch will be at Sakata Forest Rest House, a 1904 colonial bungalow.

Return to the lodge and in the evening, attend a presentation on the park by the Lodge naturalist.

Spend the day indulging in game drives by open top 4WD vehicle accompanied by English speaking lodge naturalist.

After breakfast, we drive to Satpura. Enjoy packed lunch on the way.

In the evening, a presentation on wildlife and birds of Satpura National Park and tracks and signs of wildlife you may see on your walking safari will be shown.

Early morning witness game drives with picnic breakfast inside the park and later return to the lodge by a Canoe.

After lunch at the lodge at around 2:30 pm transfer (1.5 hours) to an African style luxury campsite setup especially for you inside the national park. (We will carry only an overnight bag; you will be reunited with rest of your luggage the next evening).

Sit beside the campfire and savor the sounds of the Indian Jungle night, or enjoy spectacular stargazing, before retiring to your tent to sleep.

Wake up early morning for a walking safari and view the beautiful sunrise. A scrumptious picnic breakfast is set up at a vantage point during the safari. 

Return to the camp for lunch. 

Later in the afternoon transfer back to Lodge and in the evening enjoy a night drive in buffer forest.

Early morning go for canoeing safari and return to lodge for breakfast. Later drive to Bhopal and board your train to Agra.

En route visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Bhimbhekta Rock Shelter, exhibiting the earliest traces of human life on the Indian subcontinent.

Arrive at Agra and transfer to your hotel.

Early morning, we visit the Taj Mahal to experience the wonderful effects caused by the reflections of the sun rising from behind the Taj Mahal.

Return to the hotel for breakfast after which we visit the impressive Agra Fort that encompasses an enormous complex of courtly buildings.

After breakfast, drive to Delhi and transfer to the airport to board flight for onward destination.
